Omotivo Pty Ltd took over the importation and distributorship of Miry Mapboard products. Miry Mapboards are high quality coated aluminium and hardened PVC map holders designed to attach to bicycle handlebars of 21.4mm 31.8mm diameter (all standard and large mountain bike handlebars). Miry Mapboards can be ordered through Orienteering Service of Australia online (Miry Mapboard Products) or ask your local bike shop to order them in for you.

Unfortunately we've sold our last (ever) copy of Cordell Cross' excellent publication "Map Facts". It has been out of print for some time and we've exhausted our stock. We're looking at sourcing another high quality publication to meet you general navigational learning and reference needs.
Darren from Orienteering Service of Australia gave a helping hand to the community based organisation, "Big Brothers, Big Sisters" this month. Big Brothers Big Sisters was established in Australia in the late 1970's to provide vulnerable young people, in need of additional support and friendship, with a caring mentor and positive role model (Big Brothers, Big Sisters Website). Linda, one of the co-ordinators, contacted us looking for maps for Cardinia Reservoir. She hadn't organised an event before and was not quite sure what to do. Willing to help a good cause, OSoA donated it's time, some mini compasses and some books to the eight kids that participated. They had a great day with their Big Brothers and Big Sisters, wandering through the bush looking for the permanent control markers. The kids really enjoyed the outdoors and the challenge of finding the controls was appreciated. Cardinia Reservoir Permanent Course really is a great resource for Melbourne.
